MERIT Framework
Mentions, Evidence, Relevance, Inclusion, Transformation: a five-part AI-visibility framework from Searchbloom and Cody C. Jensen, 2025.
The five parts
Mentions is being talked about at all. Evidence is whether those mentions carry support. Relevance is whether they attach to the questions your buyers ask. Inclusion is making it into the answer. Transformation is the change in business outcome.
The sequence runs from raw presence to commercial result, which is more than most frameworks attempt. Several stop at inclusion and leave the last step to the client.
What it shares with the others
Read alongside CITE and ECHO, the overlap is considerable: all three want entity clarity, independent evidence and retrievable form. The differences are in emphasis and packaging rather than mechanism.
That is not a criticism. A field converging on the same requirements from several directions is a field where the requirements are probably real.
