Content AI Search Prioritization Framework

A method for deciding which existing pages to optimise first for AI-search visibility, rather than treating the whole site as one undifferentiated backlog. Introduced by Aleyda Solis in 2026.

The problem it solves

Most AI-visibility advice describes what good looks like on a page. Almost none of it says which page to start with, and on a site of any size that omission is the difference between a plan and a wish.

The framework supplies an ordering: judge existing content by whether the questions it answers are ones AI systems are being asked, whether the page is close enough to citable to be worth improving, and whether the resulting visibility would matter commercially.

Why prioritisation beats production

The reflex response to poor AI visibility is to commission more content. Prioritisation frameworks exist because that reflex is usually wrong: the material is generally already there, in a form retrieval cannot use.

Rewriting twenty existing pages so a clean answer sits in the first paragraph typically outperforms twenty new ones, and it is cheaper.
